It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay. Living in a city is better for children because they have more chances to learn and explore new things. In the city there are many libraries, museums, and schools that helps children learn outside the classroom. Children can visit science museums, read many different books, and join extra classes after school. For example, a report by Unicef say that children in cities often have better access to education and activities. This mean kids can take music classes, art classes, or science classes after school. Cities also have parks, sports places, and art programs where children can practice their talents and meet new friends. Another reason is that cities usually have better transportation, so children can travel easily to different places for learning or fun. Because of the opportunities, many children can grow their skills and knowledge more in the city than in the countryside areas. Another reason it is better for children to live in big cities is that when they grow up, they might find jobs in cities instead of the countryside. If children grow up in a city, they can become more familiar with city life and work environments. This can help them feel more comfortable when they start working in the future. For example, a report from Organization for economic cooperation and development says that large cities usually have more job opportunities because many companies are located there. In big cities, there are many offices, businesses, and workplaces where people can find different kinds of jobs. Children can also learn useful skills and see many types of careers around them while they are growing up. Because of these opportunities, living in a city may help children prepare better for their future jobs. |
