Today I will talk about a bit of Pharmacy. Let¡¯s go to learn and research all of the Pharmacy.
Pharmacy is a combination of science, technology, and profession, so its history is simultaneously the history of physical, chemical, and natural sciences, and the history of medical principles. It is also the history of dispensing, including the archaeological study of various scientific instruments, and the history of the pharmacist, who is both a technician and a merchant in relation to the social and economic conditions of his country and his time.

- Guignard, professor at the Paris School of Pharmacy, France, at the founding of the Society of Pharmacists, 1913.
A multidisciplinary field of study that covers basic, applied, and social sciences related to special substances (drugs or medicines) used to prevent and treat diseases in humans, animals, and plants. Specifically, the curriculum may vary somewhat from country to country, but it can be defined as a discipline studied in pharmacy schools to become a pharmacist.

For purely physiological/biochemical effects of drugs, look for pharmacology (pharmacology) instead of pharmacy, and for the structure of drugs, look for organic chemistry.
First is about pharmacy origin:

It is believed that the origin of pharmacy is based on the healing instinct of human beings, who discovered drugs from natural products through trial and error and accumulated knowledge.
Then it¡¯s about the Korean pharmacy origin:

The history of Korean pharmacy is to reveal the development of herbal medicine and local medicine, which can be said to be the origin of Korean pharmacy. Although it is true that Korean herbalism was influenced by Chinese herbalism, Korean and Chinese pharmacy originally started independently. However, since the Tang and Song dynasties, when international trade became more active, they have exchanged influences with each other.

The history of Korean pharmacy can be said to be a hybridization and synthesis of Chinese herbalism, which was introduced into Korea based on the Korean peoples own herbalism, flavored medicines, and prescriptions, which is evidenced by various documents from each era.

Third is about the future of Pharmacy:
There are two main directions for the future development of Korean pharmacy. One is the direction of natural science, which focuses on material science and life science to create new drugs. This direction is expected to be further developed in the future, as it is also the expectation of the Korean scientific community, which has begun to enter the era of material patents.
Another direction is the direction of pharmacist education as a professional to use and manage medicine more effectively. The emphasis on shifting from

substance-oriented pharmacy to patient-oriented clinical pharmacy will continue to grow and become louder. The content of education will evolve accordingly.
If the ultimate goal of pharmacy is to improve human health, advances in the natural sciences to understand how substances affect physiological phenomena, as well as advances in the professional skills to use and manage drugs in clinical practice, are the immediate tasks for the future of pharmacy in Korea.

In terms of life sciences, pharmacy is characterized as a medicine that is used to treat or prevent diseases. Pharmacology, toxicology, and pharmaceutical science have become necessary for effective and safe medicines, and basic disciplines such as physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and body kinetics have been introduced for this purpose. And the discipline that shares the life science characteristics of medicines is medicine. Clinical pharmacy is the link that most realizes the life science characteristics shared with medicine. Clinical pharmacy is a discipline that has recently begun to develop in the United States and elsewhere due to the reflection that pharmacy has been too focused on material science and the realization that it should be developed into a patient-oriented pharmacy. As it has a short history of introduction in Korea, the concept has not yet been fully settled, but it is expected that through clinical pharmacy, pharmacy will be able to interact with medicine in earnest.

Last is about the type of the pharmacy: Biopharmaceuticals:
